Aimee Ray began embroidering at the age of five when her grandmother brought her a sampler. She picked it up again as an adult and found embroidering her own designs to be a fun and relaxing hobby. Today, hand embroidery is still her favorite pastime. Her previous eight Doodle Stitching books include Doodle Stitching Embroidery Art and Doodle Stitching One-Hour Embroidery.
Embroidered Ornaments with Make-A-Long Option
Stitch a sweet motif onto a mini wooden hoop frame with Aimee. You’ll have the chance to ask Aimee all the embroidery questions you’ve always wanted to ask while stitching alongside her and fellow students. By the end of the session, you will have personalized ornaments to gift your loved ones.

Wool hand-appliqué coming your way! Becky will teach you wool hand-appliqué techniques as she shows you how to make a lumbar pillow featuring charming birds from her latest book, Birds in Toyland. From creating templates and overlays to stitching the bird on a branch to sewing the pillow closed, you will learn essential Wool hand-appliqué skills you can use for future projects. Becky’s enthusiasm for creating sweet heirlooms and seeing her students succeed in their projects is unparalleled.
Christina Cameli has a fan base all over the world from her online quilting classes including those on Creative Spark. Students appreciate her gentle tone, clear instructions, and encouraging manner. Christina enjoys making complicated things simpler and delights in coming up with small projects that bring the joy of stitching into everyone's lives.
Hand-Stitched Holiday Card with Make-A-Long Option
Christina invites you to a virtual make-along sewing circle! She shares her popular paper-stitching method to guide you through creating personalized, unique holiday cards. Starting with a printed panel, Christina will demonstrate trimming, preparing, and stitching a card. Every step of the process will be demonstrated and you are welcome to stitch along. Finished panels get adhered to blank cards so they are ready to sign and send.
Erin Hentzel is the creator and designer behind Avery Lane Designs, an indie sewing pattern company. She loves teaching others to sew. She has worked with Girl Scouts, 4-H, and youth shelters, as well as taught at quilt shops and expos. Her students have ranged in age from 5 to 89 years young. At C&T Publishing, Erin is known for her numerous books on doll clothing and accessories. Her designs are sweet and timeless with attention to detail.
Sugar n’ Spice Doll Apron
Do you love to cook and bake with your doll? Make a sweet holiday apron with charming details for your dolls. In this beginner-friendly class, you will learn embellishment techniques, such as sewing with rick-rack and contrasting fabric details. You’ll gain valuable sewing tips, learn a method to create perfect fabric gathers, and understand how to make straps and waist ties effortlessly with a no-turn technique. Erin will show you how to add additional embellishments for additional apron styles and tips for taking your sewing to the next level.
Ingrid has worked with fabrics all of her adult life, including being a fashion buyer and CEO of her own fashion label. After leaving the fashion industry, she continued to work with fabrics, first as a teacher and then as a quilt block designer. Quilting has been her hobby since high school and foundation paper piecing is the icing on the cake. She’s not a minimalist and was always drawn to rich colors and designs. Her love for bright colors and unique fabric combinations may be a bit much for some, but she goes by the Iris Apfel quote "More is more, less is a bore."
Paper Piece a Santa Square with Make-A-Long Option
Transform Ingrid’s sweet Santa Foundation Paper Piecing design into a holiday pillow! Foundation paper piecing is a patchwork technique that allows you to create pictures with small pieces of fabric. It lets you sew those small pieces easily and accurately while being quite simple at the same time. Ingrid will show you all the steps you’ll need to complete the Santa block and create a festive pillow from it. You have the option to get started with Ingrid on your own block and can rewatch the videos later to finish it on your own.
Laura Wasilowski studied costume design in college, where she also discovered the thrill of fabric dyeing. For many years, Laura created hand-dyed fabrics for garments she sold in boutiques across the country. Today, Laura enjoys making pictorial art quilts that are collected and exhibited internationally. Whimsical in nature, Laura's free-form hand embroidery and quilts both express her joy and love of creating art. She has a library of classes on Creative Spark too!
Tiny Homes for the Holidays: Festive Art Quilts with Hand Embroidery
Create three variations of a tiny home as you celebrate the season. Based on Laura’s “Fused Art Quilts: Tiny Homes” class, she will show you how to surround your tiny home with a wreath of poinsettia flowers, a Star of David, or resting on a fabric snowflake. You'll learn how to transfer the pattern shapes for each fused art quilt and how to assemble the designs. Laura will also demonstrate a few hand embroidery stitches and discuss finishing techniques. The result is 3 art quilts to decorate your home this holiday season.
Lauren Tomlinson is a US-based artist who has been working with polymer clay for over twenty years. A lover of all things creative and DIY, her go-to craft has always been polymer clay. She started by making gifts for friends and family and eventually started her own business. Over the years, she’s grown her business and social media presence, sharing tips, tricks, and information with her followers along the way.
Flower Power: Clay Jewelry Making with Flower Motifs
Explore making flowers out of polymer clay. Lauren will walk you through the basics of forming flowers and what you can do with them. Flowers can be added to a slab of clay and then cut out in different shapes, they can stand alone as a stud earring, or you can make large flowers to hang on hoops. You will end the class having made a pair of daisy studs, a pair of poppies on hoops, and understanding the basics of building a flower slab.
Lee Chappell Monroe hails from a family of quilters and learned everything from her mother, affectionately known as The Guru. With a love of color and bold graphic shapes, Lee enjoys designing patterns and teaching all types of classes, while sharing her adventures on her blog. Her ability to explain techniques in a simple, precise manner makes her a popular instructor. She is also the host of the Quilting Hour on Creative Spark and has 3 other classes and more on the way.
O’ Christmas Tree Table Runner
Stitch up the May Chappell O’ Christmas Tree Table Runner. All aspects from fabric selection to cutting to stitching to finishing will be shown. You’ll gain insight into all the details to accurately cut and piece triangles. You’ll also learn how to accurately cut and piece strips to create scrappy trees. We will discuss the best quilting options and finishing tips to create a festive holiday table runner. The runner can easily be adjusted to fit your table perfectly; you can also select winter colors for a runner that can grace your table for all of the snow season.
Lynn Koolish is a fiber artist, teacher, and author. She has been making quilts and playing with color for over 30 years. While she was never a traditional quilter, Lynn has found even more freedom of expression by making quilts using her own hand-dyed fabrics. She knows how to keep it cool with ice dying and achieve incredible color. Check out her classes on Creative Spark!
Hand-Dyed for the Holidays
Lynn will teach you how to make hand-dyeing a breeze. You will learn about how to use Procion dyes both for ice dying and for general dyeing. You will feel confident to take on most dye projects after this workshop. We’ll talk about easy techniques and great ideas for fun holiday gifts and stocking stuffers.
Ramune Jauniskis is a well-loved New England fiber artist known for her whimsical fairy-inspired 3D works of art. Fusing, fabric painting, and tiny, thoughtful details make her meticulously handcrafted treasures come alive. She has a book on sewing enchanting fairy houses and miniature treasures coming out in December: Tiny Worlds in Fabric. You’ll get early access to one of her whimsical projects from the book.
Enchanting Angel Tree Topper
Your friends and family won’t believe you made this enchanted tree topper. Using a relatively easy process, we will run through, step by step, the process of making this beautifully finished topper, which can be used as a table centerpiece as well. This lesson will include: making a fabric sandwich using Fast2Fuse, making, stuffing, and decorating the top of the Angel, and adding the final embellishments.
Tiana Coats is an established YouTuber and business owner who has been featured in major publications, launched a successful candlemaking business course and has recently opened her first retail candle shop in her hometown. She enjoys showing others how to make beautifully handcrafted candles in any shape, color, and scent imaginable! Look for Tiana’s new book this spring or get a jump start in her holiday workshop!
Winter Wonderland Candle Making
Add to your holiday ambiance with hand-crafted candles! You will first learn how to make a basic container candle. Then, take your candle to the next level by incorporating candle appliqués to decorate the container. Tiana will guide you through the ins and outs of candles, answering your questions along the way.
