The course begins with an overview of tools and a lesson using color and value to create the 3D effect. From there, you’ll be able to confidently select your fabric before diving into the nitty gritty details of your quilt plan. Along the way, Marci shares tips on general quilting, including the benefits of “Starti-Stoppies” and rotary cutting for a consistent, straight cut every time. Next, she’ll teach you how to stay organized, keeping your strip-pieced blocks in order as they magically become 3D tumbling blocks with zero Y-seams. Before you know it, the quilt is together, and you’ll be dying to create a new set of blocks to play with all over again! She even provides you with a backup plan for those not-so-perfect results by hiding them in the seam allowance for perfect points on the front. (We'll never tell!)
