Jean Wells is an art quilter, author/educator, award-winning quilter, and retired proprietress of The Stitchin' Post in Sisters, Oregon. She is the founder of the annual Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show, which is in its 48th year and has written thirty books on quilting.

Are you intimidated by using prints in your quilts? Printed fabrics can make a statement or act as a mediator between other fabrics while adding depth and dimension to quilting designs. Timna is a firm believer in “more is more” when it comes to prints. Join in as she shares all of its charms.
Maria Shell’s work is grounded in the tradition and craft of American quilt-making. She strives to take the classical components of a traditional bedquilt (also known as CRAFT) and manipulate them with the hope of creating surprising combinations of pattern, repetition, and color for the viewer. She views her work as a celebration of patchwork.
Color, Scraps & Intentional Improv
Maria will take you on a journey that will have you stitching awesome units from scraps where the color works every time! We will break down color into usable chunks of information and then apply that information to our scraps. After that, we will do some intentional improv piecing. Cheryl Brickey of Meadow Mist Designs is a chemical engineer who loves designing quilts and quilt math. She is the author of Just One Charm Pack Quilts (Stash 2021) and Modern Plus Sign Quilts (Stash 2018), has had her work published in major quilt magazines, and shown in international quilt shows. Cheryl enjoys all aspects of quilting, especially designing quilt patterns and quilt math. She created her pattern company, Meadow Mist Designs, to bridge her technical background and love of quilting to deliver classic and modern quilt patterns.

Kate Colleran is a fabric and quilt pattern designer, quilt teacher and author. She has online classes and has taught at local quilt shops, for guilds and at national quilt shows. Her goal is to help quilters make a quilt by finding the methods and techniques that work for them, even if they don't like Kate's favorites!
