I am Debbie Maddy. I am a shibori artist and indigo dyer who has traveled the world learning from masters in this art. I am truly obsessed with shibori and indigo and love sharing my knowledge. I will not hold any secrets back and I strive for it to be an enjoyable class. Plus, helping others to create makes it easier for me to create.

CAN'T BEAT NATURE'S BEAUTY

I fell in love with Indigo and will never look back. Only a couple of days later I took two workshops at a Sewing Expo in Michigan. Chemical colors might be easier to use, maybe the results are bolder and brighter - but they cannot beat the beauty of nature. 

The good thing about all this: it’s all-natural, with no poisonous chemicals involved. Whatever you make, it looks great. Because it just has a pretty color. In the rare case, you really don’t like what you just dyed, you can always cut it into small pieces. Or keep dyeing to make it an indigo blue solid.
