Lynn Koolish

Fiber Artist, Teacher, Color Fanatic

Lynn Koolish is a fiber artist, teacher, and author. She has been making quilts and playing with color for over 30 years. While she was never a traditional quilter, Lynn has found even more freedom of expression by making quilts using her own hand-dyed fabrics. She loves teaching and sharing her extensive knowledge with her students. Before retiring from editing to focus on teaching, Lynn was an editor at C&T Publishing for almost 20 years. She worked on books ranging from traditional piecing, appliqué, and embroidery to art quilting, inkjet printing on fabric, and more. She has written/co-written 5 books including Fast, Fun & Easy Fabric Dyeing, The Wonderful Colorful Wonder Wheel of Color (with Kerry Graham and Mary Wruck), and several books on inkjet printing on fabric.

Student Love

She is so well organized and welcoming. She encourages you to explore and learn. Gives you the necessary information and wants you to experiment to learn.  So enjoyable.

Wonderful class, great outcomes.

Would love to take her other classes.

Lynn was wonderful!  Very helpful.  I am fascinated by the process she showed us and would love to learn more.  Hard to imagine how the class could have been better.  I would take these courses again in a heartbeat.

Feel Successful

I have taken several classes from Lynn Koolish.  I appreciate her direct and encouraging style.  I always feel successful in her classes.  Lynn provides clear direction but encourages the student to go in his or her own direction.  She helps her students develop their own creativity in a comfortable, supportive environment.  Her teaching style makes everything easy to understand and follow.  I will take more of her classes and use her techniques and the information she teaches in many quilts.
